The Embedded Systems and Sensors Engineering (ESS) research division examines and develops methods and tools for the design of reliable embedded electronic systems and microsystems, intelligent sensors and actuators, and systems-on-chip. Fields of application are automotive electronics and automotive technology, medical technology, communication technology as well as industrial and building automation.
