Wilhelmine Kalle studied Oecotrophology (household and nutritional sciences) at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda after completing her training as a nurse. She completed her Master's degree at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. The focus of her studies was on household technology and everyday care for older people. In her Master's thesis, she dealt with counseling technical advice for older people in private households.
From May 2022 to March 2023, Wilhelmine Kalle worked as a research assistant in the Embedded Systems and Sensors Engineering research department at the FZI. There she provided support in medical information technology projects.
Since April 2023, Wilhelmine Kalle has been working as a research assistant in the research department Innovation, Strategy and Transfer and organizes guided tours in the "House of Living Labs (HoLL)" on various research topics at the FZI. Wilhelmine Kalle is currently researching transfer strategies for digital health applications and AI in healthcare. Her research interests also include ageing and technology, housing in old age and healthcare for different population groups.
Wilhelmine Kalle is a member of the DGH (German Society for Home Economics) and DGGG (German Society for Gerontology and Geriatrics).
