After completing her B.A. in the field of History of Technology and Technology Assessment at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT and her Master's degree in History of War at King's College London, Miriam is now working at the FZI on digitalisation, ethics and co-determination in the world of work, in particular algorithm-driven systems in personnel management and managerial decision-making.
In particular, she is looking at how these systems affect existing power relations, what risks the systems pose and how the use of algorithmic systems can be designed in the best interests of employees.
