Mihai Kocsis completed his master's degree in computer science at the Fernuniversität in Hagen in 2017. He received his PhD on "Conception, development and implementation of autonomous vehicles for goods transportation in pedestrian environments" in 2021.

His work is in the field of autonomous systems, mobility services, probabilistic sensor data fusion, image processing, software architectures and simulation.

Since April 2024 he is working as a research assistant at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in the Technical Cognitive Systems (TKS) department. Here he takes on the role of acquisition and management of projects related to autonomous and connected driving.
