Prof. Dr. Jörn Müller-Quade, the speaker and initiator of the Institute for Information Security and Dependability (KASTEL) at KIT, heads the KASTEL Cryptography and Security Group. He deals with research questions on data protection, IT security, and cryptography. The “Bingo-Voting” secure voting procedure was developed at his chair. Currently, Jörn Müller-Quade is concerned with the question to what extent data processed and stored on foreign servers can remain secure.
