As a project manager at the FZI, Iuliana leads projects and writes proposals for knowledge and technology transfer, strategy and networking on the topics of artificial intelligence, cyber security, environment and climate change.

In 2015, she completed her PhD in civil engineering on spatial planning and regional development. As a researcher in the field of environmental engineering, she has worked with qualitative systemic analyses and methods of integrated sustainable development to analyse transformation processes in the interactions between socio-economic and ecological systems.

She has worked on and coordinated international projects (FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, INTERREG) in the Danube region dealing with the assessment of ecosystem analyses and issues related to sustainable development, life sciences, regional development, circular economy and climate change, and coordinated activities related to stakeholder involvement and decision-making processes.
