Dorothee Mathes is a member of the Communications (COM) division at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology since January 2023.

She studied German Philology and Applied Cultural Studies at the University of Karlsruhe (today: KIT) and graduated with her Master of Arts in Cultural Management at the University of Education in Ludwigsburg.

From 2012 to 2016, Dorothee Mathes worked as a project manager in the creative business department of the city of Pforzheim. She then worked as a project manager at the Generator Startup Center of the Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart, where she was responsible for setting up an accelerator for start-ups in the fields of media, design and software.
