Christian Steinhauser studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). During his master's degree, he specialized in the field of control engineering. He wrote his master's thesis “Cooperative control of a hydraulic robot arm for a working machine” at the FZI.

Since April 2019, he has been working as a research scientist in the Embedded Systems and Sensors Engineering (ESS) research department and is working on test methods for the validation of highly automated vehicles.
