Tech for Democracy
German-Israeli Research Initiative on Digital Democracy
Start: 02/2020
End: 01/2023
Today, products, processes, and traditional services are more often merged to form intelligent services (smart services). Here, the Internet plays a key networking infrastructure role: for both IT providers and IT users, such as machine manufacturers and research institutions, internet-based services enable vast growth potentials for complex products, production processes, and shop floors.
For example, internet-based services are leading to the operational optimization of shop floors through new knowledge platforms as well as further driving the virtualization of ICT infrastructures. The aim of the SEAMLESS project is to develop and test innovative services and business models that emerge from consistently networking the entire value chain. The focus lies on flexible and scalable assistance systems based on augmented and virtual reality. This enables companies to generate new smart services to secure a sustainable competitive advantage.
In this research focus, the FZI concentrates on practical research into the key technology of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Innovative AI solutions are developed and transferred to application areas such as mobility, robotics, healthcare technology, logistics, production, and supply and disposal on behalf of our partners and customers.
