Prof. Thomas Hirth new Chairman of the FZI’s Board of Trustees
At yesterday’s Board of Trustees meeting of the FZI Research Center for Information Technology, a new chairman was unanimously elected: Prof. Dr. Thomas Hirth – Vice President for Innovation and International Affairs of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Prof. Dr. Thomas Hirth becomes the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees after Prof. Dr.-Ing. Holger Hanselka, who is prematurely ending his term as President of KIT and will preside in the future as the new President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
The FZI’s Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the highest statutory body at the FZI. Its members define the principles for the work there and advise the FZI on its long-term strategic orientation, the effective design of technology transfer and the safeguarding of scientific excellence.
The Board of Trustees is composed of 20 experts from politics, science and industry.
